Wild Ivy is a seamless DK raglan with a vertical lace panel that winds up the front of the bodice for a beautifully flattering fit.

The neckline is the heart of this design. You begin flat to shape the opening before joining in the round, and we include guidance for knitting it more open and relaxed or closed and structured. Optional waist shaping, adjustable body and sleeve length, and video tutorials for every customizable step make this knit easy to make your own.

Design Details

Wild Ivy features a vertical lace panel on the front while the back remains stockinette. Waist shaping is optional, and both body and sleeve length are easy to adjust as you knit.

Construction Overview

Wild Ivy is a DK raglan sweater worked seamlessly from the top down. We begin working flat to form the neckline and shoulders. After joining in the round, the sweater continues to the underarm.

Sleeves are separated and held while the body is worked to your preferred length and finished with ribbing. Sleeve stitches are then picked up and worked in the round to any length you like.

The lace panel is worked along the front body while the back remains stockinette.

Yarn Notes

We knit our sample in Sugarplum Circus Merino DK, and it's a lovely match for this design. The 100% superwash merino has a smooth, round finish that keeps the lace panel crisp and readable while still giving the fabric a soft, comfortable drape. It blocks beautifully too, which really opens up the lace.

Fiber: 100% superwash merino

Yardage: 231 yards (211 m) per 100 g skein

Any DK weight yarn with good stitch definition will work well here. A smooth merino or merino blend will show the lace to its best advantage, avoid anything too fluffy or with a heavy halo, as it can obscure the detail in the panel.

2. Decide how fitted you would like the sweater

3. Choose the finished bust measurement that matches

• 40" for a more relaxed fit
